Meet Summer
Owner & President
Summer is an anointed young woman that radiates love for God and anyone she encounters. Gifted in the areas of exhortation and teaching, Summer is called to inspire, encourage, and challenge people. Her gifts have been utilized in her church as a faith-based one-on-one counselor and an intercessor. Beyond the walls of her church, Summer gifts have been exercised through the writing of inspirational books and ministering to residents at Haven for Hope of Bexar County, a shelter for those experiencing homelessness. She also has a passion for encouraging youth and has served as a San Antonio Youth Literacy 2nd Grade Reading Buddy-a program focused on developing literacy skills in 2nd graders, who are reading below their grade level, a Communities in Schools Pen Pal-program to help 4th graders with written communication skills, and continues to serve as a mentor to high school students in the San Antonio Independent School District.
Summer is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She completed her Theological studies with a Master of Arts in Faith-Based Crisis Counseling and a Doctoral degree in Theology from the Institute for Teaching God’s Word Theological Seminary. Summer is also a Board Certified Mental Health Coach, and a Board Certified Advanced Christian Life Coach through the International Board of Christian Care. She also earned a Diploma in Christian Life Coaching and an Advanced Diploma in Christian Life Coaching from Light University. Summer is a certified Precision Nutrition Level 1 Nutrition Coach and a certified Precision Nutrition Level 1 Sleep Stress Management & Recovery Coach.
Fun Facts: enjoys working out (i.e. flipping tractor tires, battle rope and sledgehammer) and serving in the music ministry of her church as a drummer.
Summer’s Testimony
I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 29 in October 2013 but after undergoing chemotherapy, surgeries, radiation, and more chemotherapy, God changed my status from breast cancer fighter to breast cancer survivor, in July 2014, a week before my 30th birthday. God gave me a faith to match the test from the very beginning even as I was going through the diagnostics-He equipped me with faith to live and His grace sustained me the whole way through. Not only did He bless me to overcome breast cancer but He kept a smile on my face in the midst of the battle and to publish my first book, Poetic Inspirations for the Child of God.
The diagnosis of breast cancer did not change my love for God, people, and encouraging others. My blog Overcoming Breast Cancer, was birthed the day after I was diagnosed and intended to inspire and encourage readers, provide practical information about breast cancer and treatment, and a little humor relief.
Doctors will tell you that attitude is the key but without faith it’s hard to keep a good attitude and without a good support system it can sometimes be difficult to “Keep the Faith.” As a survivor, the door is now opened to minister to those who are battling breast cancer as one who has by God’s grace fought and won the battle.

What is Christian Life Coaching?
Christian Life Coaching is not counseling. Counseling is a helping relationship which addresses a client’s pain and past with a focus on solving problems and treating behavior. Whereas coaching is a helping relationship, in which the coach comes alongside an individual and provides support, accountability, and strategy to help them move forward in the achievement of their goals. The focus of coaching is potential, change and growth. It’s about results.

Hope Coaching
Hopeful and hopelessness are both learned. Everyone faces challenges, obstacles, and uncertainties at some point in life. The objective of Hope coaching is to help the coachee learn to rise above those challenges through a biblical hope in God.
A hope coach is not a Licensed Mental Health Professional or doctor and will not diagnose, mental health conditions or prescribe medication.
Nutrition Coaching
Good nutrition is foundational to feeling and functioning better and is sustainable. Nutrition coaching can benefit individuals who desire a simple approach for eating to feel and function better as well as individuals who know the principles but struggle with effective implementation.
A nutrition coach is not a medical doctor and will not diagnose, prescribe diets or to treat medical conditions.
Sleep, Stress Management & Recovery Coaching
Sleep, stress management and recovery are paramount to healthy lifestyle changes and struggles in any of these areas can hinder your progress. Learn practices that will help you sleep and recover better and manage stress more effectively.

Spiritual Growth & Development Coaching
Spiritual Growth & Development Coaching is for individuals who desire to grow in their relationship with the Lord and to be who God created you to be, to do what God created you to do, in the places that God has called you to.
